Do weighted blankets really work?
As a mother to a highly senstitve child, I didn’t design weighted blankets because I thought they would sell. I designed them because we used them, they worked, but the one we had just didn’t work for me.
The question isn’t “Do they really work?” That’s been proven time and time again. Weighted blankets support sleep, ease anxiety, help with transitions, and regulate emotions - especially for kids with sensory needs or anxiety.

Our story
As a mum to a spirited, deeply feeling little boy, I know what it’s like to navigate a world that often isn’t designed for sensitive kids, or their families. Supporting his needs has taught me so much about regulation, resilience, and the power of environment. But I was constantly frustrated by sensory tools that clashed with our space or felt like clinical afterthoughts. That’s why I created Busy Bubs Sensory: to design tools that honour the nervous system and the home they live in.
